thats a downgrade for sure but im skeptical the initial plan would have resulted in a high level of detailing/finishing. the original rendering kinda tricks your brain into being convinced it will be terra cotta or limestone. or at least thats what that kind of classical design demands in order to not look like cheap junk esp given its surroundings
