Even though I'm glad the development is going on on this side of town, I think it's missed it's potential in some regards. I believe it's density should probably be at least around twice the planned.
Mission Rock looks to have an interesting and denser design, so there is hope for future projects further south in Dogpatch, Bayside and Hunter's Point.
Like Viewguysf said, it doesn't really look or feel like San Francisco, but it serves an important purpose of bringing more units to the city, and expanding development along the subtilized bay. Imagine the whole bay side of SF with built form like this (or denser), it would be quite a game changer even if somewhat boring.
