not directly project related, but there have been a lot of recent articles about the Boise metro's recent growth, which will inevitably result in new developments.

here's an article about the Treasure Valley's current growth as the valley rapidly reaches the 1 million mark. the video near the bottom also projects to full build-out with a population 2.7 million (I've even seen aggressive projects of the valley topping 3 million by the latter part of this century).

my favorite part:

In the late 1980s, the community-funded Ada Planning Association was projecting that, 20 years from then - in 2010 - Ada County's population would be 290,000. They missed the mark by over 100,000. The 2010 census had the county's population at 392,000. (Ada County's current population is estimated at 487,670)

Also, another article shares detail on Nampa (a suburb of Boise) becoming the third Idaho city to top 100,000:

Nampa, with a population of 102,030, has become the third Idaho city to reach 100,000 people, according to COMPASS estimates. Nampa has doubled in size in nearly 20 years, from 51,000 in the 2000 Census. In the last four years, the city has added 13,000 people.

finally, in an Idaho Press article, Boise's largest suburb, Meridian, is now projected to reach 150,000 by 2029--it was originally estimated the city wouldn't reach the mark until 2040. Meridian's population in 1990 was 9,596.

Last May, the Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho, or Compass, estimated Meridian, the second-largest city in Idaho, had grown to more than 100,000 residents. Almost a year later, city staff estimate Meridian has reached 114,102 residents.

“There is no normal right now for the city of Meridian,” Meridian Chief Financial Officer Todd Lavoie said in an email. “We are experiencing phenomenal growth.”

The growth is exceeding city staff’s own projections. In June, staff estimated the city would reach 150,000 residents by 2040, according to a recent presentation to City Council.

City officials estimate Meridian will reach almost 150,000 residents by 2029, Lavoie said.
