This is why I get pissed off when developers tear down good standing buildings just to build something identical or worse in the same lot, this is happening alot in bronzeville. Like bruh, there's miles and miles of vacant lots to build on, why the hell are you tearing down our city's architecture just for your project? SMH

The issue for the hospital is all the buildings need to be connected indoors so that patients can be transported between buildings. Since UC hospital has parks on 2 sides and an expanding campus on one, the only alternative would be going higher on existing buildings.
