That's the first I've ever heard anything about [Gimbels] Manhattan Mall and film studios. Im not sold on the logic of that in that location honestly but at least it sounds like the word "conversion" is suggesting they thankfully dont intend on razing the building. It will be very interesting to see how the planned additional tower will work into this concept. I'm still assuming the bottom couple floors will still be retail. Also am curious whether the studio concept is being treated as an interim use?
