In other news, the PC approved the Lotus Alchemy project and forwarded a positive recommendation to the city council for some height and design standard revisions for downtown zoning districts. If the council passes that into law (date TBD), some notable changes are that design review will now be triggered at 200 ft for D-1 and the maximum height of buildings in the Depot District will be doubled to 180 ft. I know some folks at IHG and can verify the 2nd Kimpton is a GO. As in they are already spending shit tons of cash. Also glad we have one of our "Wall" towers running east to west for a change! Gonna be huge for downtown. This kind of mixed use is bread-and-butter in other cities.
