DEVELOPER SUBMITS PLANS TO FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION TO BUILD THE TALLEST TOWER IN SOUTH BEACH (& POSSIBLY ALL OF MIAMI BEACH)

Quote:
South Beach will soon be getting its tallest tower ever, according to plans that were filed with the Federal Aviation Administration the day before Thanksgiving.

The Park on Fifth tower is proposed to rise 553 feet above ground, or 556 feet above sea level, the newly filed application states.

At that height, it will be the tallest in South Beach, and possibly all of Miami Beach.

The tower will be built at the entrance to South Beach next to a new 3-acre public park planned at 500 Alton Road.

Construction on the first phase, including the park, is expected to begin in early 2020. Developers Crescent Heights and Terra Group have already obtained $90 million in financing to build it.

The 44-story Park on Fifth will include 337 residential units and a parking garage with 577 spaces. There will also be a token amount of retail, restaurant, and surface parking spaces next to the park.
