Henry.....Everyone was really spooked when we heard about the robberies. It gave us kids visions of how crazy the world can be. It was very unsettling. I went to McKinley school which was just several blocks from the Boy's Market [which is now the Hawaii Asian Supermarket].
My father didn't shop at Crawford's, he preferred more modern stores such as Von's. The Crawford's stores were very old fashioned and definitely ''country''. I'd go to Crawford's occasionally because I liked their magazine section.
