Of course. But I think the traffic will be bad on most routes, QEW especially but 2-lane country roads too, given the power and widespread use of navigation apps. It would hopefully spread out across the region, but Hamilton is a choke-point for anyone driving from Toronto or Mississauga.
Since I live where there will be about 2 mins of totality (if it's not cloudy) and I have ready access to open space just across the street, why would I leave home? I'll be working as well that day, so to leave my place early and return late is not going to be an option.
