Sew Hungry
Not bad, lines were slow at the good ones.
Tornado Potato was a rip off, one potato curl cut on a stick like a chip. Half cooked and $4. Tiny Tom donuts a bit over priced for the size of a dozen. Pulled Pork from HankDaddy was good and plentiful for $10. Some places a great deal and variety. Traffic was a pain and the street should be partially closed. Parking was limited. I can see this grow, but should stay open so we can take the kids for supper or wife after work. P.S. people it was crowded so leave the dogs at home. |
They definitely have to close the street for this. I remember the last one I went to in June I think it was, was absolutely packed. You actually had to walk on the street to get by people.

fantastic event! They def should have closed the street. Good on Limoncello for paying for the buses, though the buses I took going there and back were empty.
And in my opinion there ain't no food truck like a taco truck. That gourmet gringo place was amazing! |
Sew Hungry 2015 1 May.
I heard this year's event is slated for 1 May. Supposed to be plenty of new food trucks.
Should be interesting!!!!!!! Ottawa Street. |
Went last year and it was mess. Way too many people considering that they don't close the entire street off. I hope they realize that fitting long lines on narrow sidewalks while trying to maintain space for people to explore all the trucks doesn't work.
|
Agreed; really hope they close the street this year.

2015
Lots of trucks with a great selection.
Again portions were too big to be able to taste a wider variety. Too pricy reastaurant prices and little seating, however the churches were great to set up areas. Dirty tables and lots of garbage little recycling. $2 for 11 cent waters. CLOSE off the street it is unsafe! The sidewalks are jammed with dogs and double wide strollers? NO parking on Ottawa street. Use Centre Mall. Turn the trucks around facing inwards and put out some tables. It was a nice family stroll and lots of potential for more user friendly. By extending the hours hit the supper crowd. Some vendors ran out of items so it was a success for them. You could tell by the line-ups! |
