^ Great set, Solar. I wonder what they're installing at the Ebony Jet bldg. Mechanical equipment is my guess.
Re Essex; I like the little bit of flare with the window mullions at the setback. Hope they incorporate more of that on another level towards the top. |
^Take a look at the rendering on the 1st page. This detail occurs 2 more times. I agree the detail looks sharp!

Yeah, the detail on this one is really good. It doesn't take that much to make a glass box a little more dynamic. It would have been nice to see those stilts in the original rendering but at least they didn't VE out the fins and mullions. I really lurve mullions.

This is an ugly angle though, most of the picture is dominated by the ugly party wall.
It's not a pretty building, but the street facing facade isn't *too* bad. There's certainly much worse out there, brutalist or otherwise. That said, we really need to get rid of the last two or three remaining lots on Boul Mich. Having them linger around is just plain embarrassing. |
