The choice in glass color is sick! Absolutely love it! Makes me wish Vista kept its original green color scheme.

Though a little wavy, that glass is A+! Much better looking than the renderings depicted. Going love the enhanced Christmas feel next year when looking at this juxtaposed with the (former) CNA bldg

I kinda wish the glass matched the old Essex in more, that was one of the better parts or this tower was how well it blended with that in my opinion.

Presumably that bright green on the columns is just fireproofing or something, and those will have stainless steel cladding?

[EDIT]
Some kind of painted sealant - yes it will be covered by cladding.

I like how it pays homage to the old Essex in form/architecture, but contrasts it in color. And it's a nice shade of green!

The "original" Essex Inn is adding 18 units per a building permit issued on 2/15.

The combination of the gray vertical lines and the green glass in this picture looks sublime.

This is the color i imagined for the Vista but here's hoping for an outcome just as beautiful.

I don’t know that a sign that reads quickly as “rent sex” is the best marketing.

This tower needs to get more love. I think it's gonna be a beauty

Cant wait to see what glass thet went with for the winter garden. I hope its crystal clear.

Skyguy_7 Mar 7, 2018 1:18 PM

I did not expect to see that vertical, green opaque glass in between the metal columns. Very nice touch. Thanks for posting, Harry
