It’s going to be a a Sushi spot, I keep forgetting the name but there’s a few of them across the country. Also, looks like there’s a hiring sign where Pedal Haus Brewery is going, where the dressing room was. There’s a Sake bar going there too.

Pedal Haus?! Really?! Hell yes! Fate and Pedal Haus are the two that I most wanted to see downtown.

I am enjoying all the new development projects around Roosevelt Row. I was in San Diego about a week ago and decided to stay in their Gaslamp District. It was very cool to see the different bars/restaurants and art down 5th Ave. I am hoping one day Roosevelt Row will be something like the Gaslamp District in the future, which I think it will with more people moving downtown. I hope the City makes First Friday a every Friday event to help local vendors and small businesses rebound from Covid-19.

I used to visit San Diego in the 90s before Gas Lamp was what it's become. Phoenix is developing the same way in many regards, it's very reasonable to expect an equally vibrant city within the next few years, in my opinion.

Thanks for the pictures spain dave.

I was doing a little research in the building permits and found that they are keeping the bowing lanes and there are going to be 4 separate restaurants within the building so idk if its the same sushi bar or they have some new concept.

This is the information you're looking for:

https://whatnowphoenix.com/flagship-...rizona-anthem/

There is work to be completed but this is going to be one restaurant, here's a link to their Texas location https://eatdrinkanthem.com/

You guys are going to love what's coming with Vento's projects this fall.

Wow!!!! I've actually been to their location in Texas and it was very good! They have an awesome brunch. This will be a good fit for DTPHX although PBS would have been better IMO from an entertainment standpoint

Revisiting this update from April. I haven't driven down 3rd Ave in quite some time but I noticed the historic Sargent Oldaker house was fenced up today. Has it always been this way or just until recently. Hopefully it's good news and it means the house will be prepped soon to be transported to its new location.

Also, confirmed the same others have been seeing regarding EcoPHX. The site looked pretty quiet and with no workers today.

Speaking of historic house/building relocations...

Does anyone know the status or plan of this historic duplex/fourplex? West side of 7th Street at Pierce. They didn't just demo it for whatever is master planned in that area so it makes me think there's a chance it gets moved. Can't they just plop it across the street? (I know there's way more that goes into it than that, including land ownership).

More information on the 30 year plan to redevelop Christown. Hope when I have them my grandchildren are into development, lol.

I know that sounds outrageous but its really not.

Think of how long other redevelopment master plans take, Skysong isnt at full buildout and its already approaching 20, Kierland/Scottsdale Quarter is also approaching 20, Tempe Town lake is still infilling and its nearly 30.

By comparison Park central is going quite fast, I don't think stating 20-30 for full buildout is surprising at all.

I will agree to that. My thought was just that at some point development in the future makes you realize your age.

Slow news week eh?

Anybody want to do a big exciting photo update???

Wow, that was much faster than the last time. Prior to the previous update it looked like Phoenix was stuck in 2015.

Dannnng!! Yes, that was way faster than last time! Hopefully we start getting updates every 6 minutes with all the growth!

I had been wondering when Google was going to update their maps as everything felt out of date, but it was actually the rapid pace of development that made it seem that way. The County Assessor's 2021 maps didn't show a whole lot of difference.

Compare West Fillmore in both and you'll see what I mean.
