I don't know if it's so bad. The cost overruns were almost a given with this thing. They moved the completion date up, and can't make it, so they're going back to the original completion date, a few months later. But the good news is that overall it's on track, and should (should) open by the end of the year. I try to get peeks as I'm walking through there. You can smell the newness of it all. Likewise, at the opposite end, the new 7th Avenue entrance is on pace to open by the end of the year. That's something to look forward to as this awful year comes to a close. |

That 7th Ave entrance just looks like its going to blast cold air down into the station in the winter.

Been focusing so much lately on what's happening around Grand Central, I forgot how close we are getting to Moynihan opening. I was looking nice tonight.

How long has it been closed and under renovation?

^Thank you, sir! That's kind of what I thought. I remember visiting NYC in the 2000's but just moved here last year.

It is a welcome addition for sure, but until our elected "leaders" get their acts together and give us a proper Penn Station, it will never be anything besides a pretty gauze on a gaping wound.
