I'm sure he was, was he living at the Clarendon hotel like a bunch of other people who were pre-leased but had nowhere to go?

Unrelated what's the building at 2nd and Moreland that's being constructed? There's a banner in front of it that says "expose yourself". That's awkward.

The Bank of America building is a huge improvement over what it used to look like:

I have been watching that building and am hoping for the same thing. The white slats are just OK looking in the daylight. I am hoping they serve the same purpose you suggested at night. That would look really cool! I've never seen a building with LED lights on the side like that.

Imagine of the lights were coordinated with motion and/or changed color.

Got a good look at the white slats and there is indeed LED's wired under the slat edges. Looks like groups of 3, so I'm guessing there will be color changes going on. It would be awesome if it was similar to the lighting at Children's. Either way, a little night pizazz for Midtown!

Went back a page and saw where you did indeed post that sandwiched in between my photos, lol. Sorry we missed it! Here's a night shot with them lit for everyone else. They are only white, so no clor changes.

Also, snapped a pic of Portland from Hance Park. They are on the 10th floor and it's starting to make a dent in the skyline. Looking great!

The same company that bought this tower is doing the Omninet East and West apartment projects in uptown Phoenix by the Camelback and Central light rail station.

Also seems like they're doing something on the ground floor of the tower?

If you go back 1 page there are 5 pics of POTP from different angles, as well as a few of Union on Roosevelt and the Hotel Lexington remodel that I posted a few days ago.

They are moving SO quickly. Also, appears they are at least 30% sold out. I think this is very positive. Hopefully they sell out quickly and go for another downtown.

That is great news. The 14 stories will definitely be a viewing opportunity!!!! Mas Mas Mas!!!

You know, if they cut those trees down, the building will appear taller! Actually the view of the Japanese Friendship Garden and of the Mid and Uptown skyline will be quite cool.

Yes, let's cut down the few dense tall shade trees the city has to make our buildings appear taller. haha I think/hope you are kidding. :)

A similar take on the same idea has been successful in the porn industry for decades, he may be on to something.

It was about Nowakowski and the Cesar Chavez Foundation being corrupt, and Nowakowski not disclosing a serious conflict of interest in the RFP process that best-scored the awarded proposal. Even if it were genuinely well-scored, Nowakowski's defense that "he didn't know" that the organization that he and everyone he knows is in bed with submitted a proposal in his district is absolutely incredulous.

But the RFP was not well-scored. It presumed that this project shouldn't be built in phases and that it shouldn't include a condo component.

The whole process stunk and Nowakowski needs to be investigated.

Well looks like it's going to be investigated after all by outside counsel. Votes won't happen until end of year. bummer
