Melbourne is starting to look pretty big, with a huge pipeline of new towers still to come (including a couple of supertalls)

I always knew Melbourne had a great skyline but this pic makes me think it's one of the best on earth.

Do you mean more volume as in needs more high rises? If so, more high rises are definitely being built... but Philadelphia is very similar to Boston in regards to high rises. Philadelphia has a lot of areas with height limits, strict zoning laws, historic low rise neighborhoods, etc. etc.

On top of that, Philadelphia's economy is slow growth. With a faster growing economy, Philadelphia could probably see maybe a few more high rises than it is currently building, but due to the few areas you can actually build high rises, I just don't see Philadelphia ever being on Chicago's level.

Philly has, outside of NYC, is the most consistently human scaled and walkable city in the US. 130 square miles of mostly rowhouses.

great pics!

The thing is just how many people does "a couple of supertalls" mean.

I'll confess, I'm not really sensitive to what they call "inégalités" (inequalities) here, I don't care much about my neighbor's so called success or money. Neighbors may be winners or losers, I swear I don't give a damn. That's some kind of unusual education here.

But more and more in the world seem to be concerned about 'inégalités'. That is my serious concern on the other hand. Cause when people feel like things go unfair, they're able of the worst atrocities.

I belong to a country that's older and much more experienced than yours if you're in Australia, trust me.

I'm starting to be skeptical about the actual usefulness of those supposedly supertalls. They're definitely no engineering feat nowadays anyway. The Arabs will always be taller than you are... Or at least, for long. So tell me, how does it feel to be smaller than an Arab town? :D

If they had gone about a half mile further south they would've gotten the Lloyd District "skyline" as well. Still a fantastic shot. Nice find.
