Honestly, I actually liked this building when it was proposed. It looked great. Until it didn't.

2/16 Crosspost. No real progress on the crown yet.

^ Nice pic

If you look on the webcam it looks like their building a walking deck around the outside of the top floor. I can only guess this is for the crown installation? Looks like they will install the crown before putting in the last floors glass.

Pieces of the crown have started to go up on the northeast side

Does anybody have any connection with the developer? If so could you ask if the crown will be illuminated? Also does anyone have pictures of OGP's crown being installed? I'm wondering if they are using the same form and technique.

I asked the same question about a month ago with no response and also due to the lack of rendering at nite we won't know till it's finished!

But here's to hoping they light it up.

Isn't this tower going to have a damper for high wind speeds? If so when is it going to be installed?

Unless I'm mistaken, it looks like the setback will have an area with planters. If that's the case, and its usable by residents, that's gonna be one amazing terrace.

KWillChicago Mar 12, 2018 12:06 AM

I saw those and couldn't figure out if they are planters or pieces of the crown in staging. If they are planters thats some whacky layered shapes. It be cool if it had a waterfall system in it with a koi pond or somthing. The farthest left section does look like a half circle bench with a fire pit.

I'm still surprised none of the balcony railings have been installed
