You might be right about it being Spring Street, ER. Among the items in the show window appear to be thermos bottles, so I'm thing sporting goods--per the 1914 CD, A.G. Spalding & Bros was at 435 S Spring and Tufts-Lyon Arms Co was at 428

In the upper right corner of the ad we see the Sportsmans Show was managed by Walter Hempel.

A Pasadena resident (and former St. Vincent's College football coach), Hempel was murdered at Lake Tahoe on June 17, 1949:

RIP Mr. Hempel :(

Mark James Donnelly was paroled in March 1962 and apparently soon after married Elva L. Donnelly, who worked at a Reno bank;
they divorced in April 1966 (his first wife remarried in 1956). In May 1966 Donnelly married again, to the former Augusta C. Milner.
Mark Donnelly died in Sparks, Nevada, on October 15, 1967.

And, with the approval of the World Rowing Federation, the rowing venue was moved from Lake Perris to the Long Beach Marine Stadium, site of the 1932 Olympic rowing events. They just had to agree to shorten the course by 500 meters, or something, and approve that it's a body of water that's affected by tides. The LB Marine Stadium used to be Olympic Standard back in 1932, but subsequent building of the Long Beach Marina and Davies Bridge changed its configuration.

There not bent over there laying on there backs on a circular disk.

There may be some glue involved. I figure that the swing hangs from the pipe fixture and remains relatively stationary and the "room" and pipe fixture rotate, at first back and forth and then transition into full rotation in one direction. Of course everything in the room would have be securely fastened down.
The two elbows of the pipe fixture create an offset, and when rotating would cause slight swinging that the riders would feel in addition to the illusion of the rotating room.
At least that's my theory.

Or could G be William Demarest? Is this image the same as photo G?

And could C be Macdonald Carey?
