That's because if you pay attention you'd see that you are looking at the interior of the building. The white will not be on the outside.

I guess you're right bc it wouldn't make any sense really with the trio. Either way, it's gonna look pretty fierce.

Certainly, I'm getting very excited about this building, especially for how much it will block the cretin that sits behind it. yuck

So many years I've had to stare at that ugly thing when heading NB on Wacker, or when looking north from one of the many bridges over the south branch of the river. WPS will be the final nail in the coffin lol

I wish they would have painted the Sun-Times that dark grey decades ago. Looks much better.

AWESOME shot Harry!

River point is like a giant LED screen showing a live feed of the river. Love it.

That barge looks like it might be bringing in materials but for whom?

Vista, One Bennett, maybe glass for Vinoly or Essex...

Or it's just a regular industrial barge. Basically 100% of all barge traffic in the Chicago River is not related to development downtown. That has only happened a handful of times. The only plausible candidates for using a barge are 150 N Wacker, WPS, Riverline, and Related's South Loop site.

Seen it several times over the years - not sure what it carries.

Unlike the Trump building which nicely reflects a change in river direction at its location and isn't oriented in one direction, the South building appears to point south and turn its back to the east (and west).

Now that preparing to pour the garage floor plates how long do you think it will be before we start seeing this get above grade/above the river, mid spring?, sorry if thats the wrong terminology.

Also, I'm sure Harry will be all over it, but can some people take some pictures of them taking out the support beams when they start pouring the floor plates? I've never seen that process actually happening. Or are they keeping all those beams in there and building the parking garage around them?
