^ Tomorrow at noon.

Cirrus, you can remove the Gold Line (12 miles) from the list of light rail projects under construction.

Thanks. I've moved the LA Gold line to complete.

Phoenix and Seattle should be next, both opening LRT extensions on March 19.

Construction has been underway for several months now in Dallas for two different projects. A 2.6 mile extension of the Blue light rail line (called SOC3), and a mile extension of the Oak Cliff streetcar line, phase 2.

Excellent question. There probably are some long term plans to improve headways, but to do so will require double tracking most- if not all- of the way. 15 minute headways is considered excellent for a mostly single track corridor.

I've added the 2 Dallas projects. Thanks.

And the Denver Airport line has no plans to increase frequency that I'm aware of. They probably don't need it. Think of it as a really excellent commuter rail line more than a light rail line. It'll be the same trains as Philadelphia's regional rail.

Did a brief check for missing lines using The Transport Politic's Transit Explorer. There are several projects due to begin construction later in 2016, but I added 2 that as far as I can tell seem to have started already:

1. Orlando Sunrail phase 2, commuter rail, 18 miles. Link

2. Seattle East link, light rail, 14 miles. Link

Denver's airport train opens today. It's been moved to the completed section.

5.2 of the 23.5-mile A Line is single-track. Increasing headways to more frequent than 15 minutes would probably require double-tracking some of that. Most people I've talked to seem content with 15 minute headways. 10-minute would be better but we'll see how it goes.

KC Streetcar opened today and is coming off the list.
