^^^ Two more at most. I wouldn't be surprised to see it by 2030. The North side is simply running out of room.

^ I was referring to having an ability to discuss it objectively... that's the whole point, otherwise we are just talking preferences.... BTW, it's totally fine with me if your favourite color is Gang...

No matter what you think, a large part of architecture and how people view structures it is completely subjective. There's no right or wrong answer to whether a building looks good or bad. I happened to not like the Prentice Women's building - other people liked it - so what?

I'm talking specifically about aesthetic. Just because I think a building looks good or like shit does not mean that it is the right or wrong opinion. |

This deserves the dancing banana! Definitely among my most anticipated construction starts this year, primarily because of the long fight to get to this point. The design is great, but was better before the cantilevers were VE'd out. |

I think he means that version's recesses and cantilevers are less pronounced than the first iteration of the design. There seems to be a clear bit of VE'ing of those details.

It's hard to tell from the map, but is Vue53 going on land that belongs to Nichols Park?
Was that always private land or do I have the wrong lot? Edit: it's on the north side of 53rd. I though it was on the south side, which is park. |
^ I think it was once a gas station, right?
|
^Mobil Gas Station and a car wash, plus an empty lot which used to be a McDonald's.

A little birdie to me not to count Solstice out of the game and that it "is shining, in its original sunny shaded design." That's all I know... That's all I know.

In BVic I Trust - he's always been pretty spot on before. Plus, Hyde Park is smoking hot right now and I'm certain it's ripe for additional development news in the future. I personally can't wait to sell my place and get the hell outta Lakeview - Chicago is still my number 1 choice of cities, and with that, I'm only planning on Hyde park as my next hood.
|
Yeah, Hyde Park has been pretty incredible lately, it seems to be the only neighborhood outside of downtown with significant numbers of large, highrise, new construction projects going on.

Lake Meadows and Michael Reese are the big questions and will probably be the final push. Perceptions of safety are changing. I see women jogging alone on 31st street every day. Northsiders will be the last to know. |
