I like the retail incorporation along with the residential. I find that these developments are the best when buying a unit. The idea that you don't have to walk far for shopping is always a plus.

Im happy with the proposal...
I also think its about time South Philly started getting a dense/tall development node, and Broad & Washington seem like the logical place. The city seems to have a nice cross pattern developing (which makes sense). CC has the tallest/most, U. City to the West, Market East to the East, Temple to the North, and then somthing new to the South. Though this will probably be split netween Navy Yard, Sports complex, and Broad/Washington over the then ~50 years, this ought to be the tallest (mostly residential) area. |
Looks pretty promising.

But the shadows! Won't someone think of the children!?
By the way, were did the Watusi's meme go? |
What would be the height range? 350-375ft?
Either way this will stand out a lot like Morgans Hall to the North. |
I live right by this lot and I'm all about the lot being developed... I just can't see this ever getting built. If anything I see the base being built and the towers never seeing the light of day.

Comment from one of the bloggers...I love it!

And then there was this comment from one of the bloggers: chris • 4 hours ago Why does the height need to be reduced. My only question. I think Bart should build a 1000ft tall tower and overshadow all of those pains in a** constantly complaining about a new building that is over 3 stories. Move to the suburbs then. He/or she was reading my mind! :haha: |
