Haven't checked the Blocks in a couple weeks, but it looked like it was coming along nicely last time I was there.

Knipe Village construction is in full swing now and there is construction equipment onsite and lots of digging going on.

Awesome thanks!!

Which are these supposed to be and include?

Also, what about the development north of Portland Street between 3rd St & 5th St? Is that under construction?

That is Broadstone Portland and will be 7 stories. Can't recall if I have seen a rendering.

Edit: I found renderings of what "may" be Broadstone Portland although this looks unlike anything Broadstone has ever done here and is not 7 stories nor even 4 over 2 as stated on the site. So I am not sure if this is current.

The gray building in the first rendering is Dependable Staffing Services, so I this is definitely the correct location.

Is this one getting a crane?

They all do. Not enough room for a boring mobile crane.

combusean Jun 3, 2020 8:54 PM

And i think this is it. One of the podium parking levels is underground. So a five story apartment building with 2 levels of podium parking can be interpreted in multiple ways...

biggus diggus Jun 3, 2020 8:59 PM

I like that building very much.

Phxguy Jun 3, 2020 9:06 PM

It’s simplistic but I like that it differs from your typical Broadstone project.

Obadno Jun 3, 2020 9:14 PM

Im really confused what project is this? WHere is it?

Great find Crested!! I'd been wondering about this project as well and when some renderings were going to get released. I like that it doesn't look like your typical Broadstone project.

Northwest corner of 3rd st and portland. Across the street from Cambria

Edit: Northeast. Sorry I was multitasking when I typed this

gymratmanaz Jun 3, 2020 10:12 PM

I was wondering what that was kitty corner to Cambria. Cool!!!

TJPHXskyscraperfan Jun 4, 2020 5:30 AM

Definitely different from all the 5 story complexes going up. I like that shaded area, good place for First Friday stuff.

IndyAZ Jun 5, 2020 9:10 PM

Tower Crane base for Hyatt Place was set today. Not sure when the crane will go up, but once they form and pour the foundation around the feet, it normally goes up about 1-2 weeks later, so this one should be going up soon!

gymratmanaz Jun 5, 2020 11:18 PM

Damn...What will the crane count be when this crane goes up?

Phxguy Jun 5, 2020 11:30 PM

13. I believe the current count is but I might be off by one of two. Between Lincoln and I-10 and the Sevens.

Hello -

Been a viewer for some time now. Moving back to AZ in a few months due to job instability where I currently live. Please bear with me as I learn the ropes with postings. Thanks!

Found a short vid on the One Camelback renovation for anyone interested.

I love repurposed buildings. I'm from Minneapolis and toured a bunch of the condo buildings and the repurposed buildings were all the most interesting to be in. Most of those were old milling buildings but I think the atrium will be a big wow factor for people looking to live in that buildings.

combusean Jun 9, 2020 5:53 PM

Agreed--that atrium made this building incredibly striking. I was in it in 2007 and shocked at the overall build quality and now I kind of wonder why they let this go to fallow or didn't reposition it. Curious to see what Stellar does with that part of the building.

Mr.RE Jun 9, 2020 6:09 PM

I hope to see this kind of repurposing for the Hayden flour mill in tempe!

Welcome to the forum!

Have they announced rates for the units in this building yet?
