The Link

Is it too soon to start a link for The Link?.... no pun intended!!! It could be a long lasting link for one building or complex. (If too soon, feel free to delete.)

Judging that this coincides with someone posting (I forgot who posted it) they have an inside source that this is pretty much a done deal, I say not at all!

Get @Obadno in here. He does a good job posing project summaries etc.

Came down to take a look. On the way I drove down 3rd St from Midtown. The location of this is going to be exactly above the right lanes of South 3rd when with the tower between AZ Center and Sheraton. Going to look good!

Looking at the link posted earlier, they're saying check back in 2019...I'm thinking 2019, what the hell! Then, I realized, hmm, it takes time to build these kinds of things!

Also, now ....don't freak out but.... 2018 is in 2.5 months. so that's like less than 2 years really.

Does this mean we have to wait for approval or has it already been approved and we're now waiting for the machinery to arrive on site?

Interesting that the permit for the project retains the name of the former, now long-dead, proposal on this exact lot, 'Cosmopolitan towers.'

It makes me feel like 2008 which is a bit terrifying but at the same time this boom is much more across the board and consistent We don't see the absurd housing prices right now so I hope this doesn't mean we have a bust on the horizon, Give us at least a couple more years of this PLEASE

Yep. This boom seems more solid than 2008, and doesn't show any signs of slowing down anytime soon. Lets hope that the real estate experts are spot on in their analysis of the demand and that overbuilding isn't occurring. Personally, I don't think we are overbuilding. In fact, I expect to see demand for new office space downtown in the next couple of years following the housing boom.
