I agree with others, this was just a brutal location to choose at the best of times… but with the lunch crowd essentially gone, and Güd potentially being seen as a niche menu, they really didn’t have a fighting chance. Could’ve seen it surviving/thriving in Cathedral, or even out in a pad spot with profile & parking. We picked up from Güd a couple times - food was excellent. But if we didn’t know a couple vegans & vegetarians, I’m not sure we would’ve even been aware it existed… Leo’s really didn’t bring their trademark marketing to the table. |
Dojo Ramen opening this fall. Modern Korean and Japanese cuisine in September in the old Flip location. Same owners as Avenue.

Brewed is downsizing. Harbour Landing and Dewdney are up for sale.

They've never been too shy about pulling the plug, which is smart. Weren't they planning a drive-thru only location for Park or Winnipeg area? |

REAL announced they have signed a deal with Adam Sperling/YQR Distillery to open a "brewery and distilling facility" using 40,000 sq ft of the Agribition Building (I believe that is the entire space). Besides a brewery and distillery, it will have a "restaurant, tasting room, distillery bar, interior and exterior patios, event and banquet space, a liquor store, a barrel-aging facility, a section for warehousing and distribution and a kitchen for teaching".
Yay! Let's get drunk and then go puke on the midway rides during the QCX! https://www.cjme.com/2021/06/23/brew...r-evraz-place/ |
That sounds great. Though I question how that fits into the mandate of REAL.
