Accoding to the Ryan Ori Trib article you posted the tower is on schedule to be completed in late 2022 with tenets moving in in 2023.

^ Interesting. Couldn't actually read that one bc paywall. Sun-Times still had mid-'23 in theirs. If I had to guess which one was right though I'd go with Ori.

Just finished jumping the forms - first the S then the north.

Any ideas why the steel work seems to be stalled or is it just a weather issue?

Bombardier Feb 13, 2021 2:35 PM

Weather. Very minimal exterior work took place the last week and a half in Chicago. Early next week doesn’t look any better.

Makes sense..I suppose I just got used to BMO skyrocketing to the moon. Excited for warmer weather to see this one start to fly.

I was gonna say... Gee what could stop these guys from working on slippery steel beams hundreds of feet in the air. Surely nonstop snow and single digits temps wouldn't stop them.

Get bent

I love this angle - it shows the entire crane climbing up the shaft

On Saturday, I got out to shoot a few 'sunny' shots of Salesforce from the ground. But before I did that, I scaled the interior scaffold to reach the top of the formwork for a few shots of the river ice.

The movement and stillness in that last photo is incredible, well done as always.

Is this diagram this building? https://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?buildingID=66005 (Does anyone else still look at the diagrams anymore? This is my second post in the last 13 years, so I may be out of the loop (no pun intended (or was it))).

Yes, that's it. Previous iterations of this tower had a hotel component, I believe. The one on the right was from an earlier iteration while the one on the left is more or less the same design as the current proposal but scaled down with just the commercial space.

A friend sent me this today. Taken from the 32nd Floor of Left Bank so this one is rising pretty quick.

Such wasted vista on this tower. What do we gain? Blocked west sun light down the river canyon, another boring blue glass box as a focal point, a most likely empty tower with watered down results ala Block 37. I'm just sad about this wasted site. It could have been so much better. Even something smaller but more thought out would have been better than the three amigo's clad in their best 2005 era blue glazing. Maybe next century we can get it right.
