It might help your understanding of the statement if you read the quote in the post as well.

For anybody looking for a test: https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/fi...-site-near-you

Can also use the search bar, enter your zip code, and the test sites will populate in the map.

Urgent Care/Concentra will do anti-body tests. Just get evaluated if you think you've had it or might of been exposed in the past. They also offer nasal test too.

Maybe one positive thing city wise, just in general, and even the suburb is that after the purge is over, outdoor dining will stick for good. Its especially nice in the suburbs to see folks out. Adds more "spice" to the main streets of smaller towns.

We certainly know the New York response came later than the response in the Bay Area and Washington. If they actually had had the disease spreading in the community as long, that makes their failure to recognize it and respond even more culpable.

I recall reading the reports you referred to about environmental viral DNA. That was a single report, not confirmed as far as I know and not peer reviewed but let's see what you can find.

actually any delays in reacting quite naturally followed virus arrival delay patterns. ie., remember the first case in the usa was jan 19 on the west coast, the first in nys was march 1st.

however, the partial china travel ban started jan 31, but the euro flight ban wasn't until mar 12.

that makes the trump failure to ban euro flights early by far the biggest disaster factor of all for the east coast.

The first hit regions have passed the peak (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, some Amazon and Northeast states), but they still have lots of casualties. On the other hand, regions that were spared (South and Central-West states, upstate São Paulo, Minas Gerais) are now watching a big spike on the number of deaths.

7-day moving death average is just above 1,000/day for almost two months now, with no signs of receding.

Brazil reached yesterday 97,419 deaths so far. São Paulo state, 24,109, getting closer to the 28k in Spain, both with roughly the same population.

It seems Brazil will cross the 100,000 barrier within two days, two days before I forecasted. The 7-day moving average is still slightly above 1,000, stable for almost three months now, again, no signs of receding. Some states passed the peak, but others took their places, with soaring number of deaths.

São Paulo capital is still in the reopening process, streets are much busier, but a far cry from the normal. Everybody uses masks.

Matthew Aug 7, 2020 4:02 AM

For the first time, I saw two people yelling at each other over social distancing. A security officer was trying to break it up. Many businesses have issues with social distancing at the entrance/exit doors and that is where this happened. Since stores now require them, masks are very common in suburban Atlanta. I have noticed, it seems, businesses aren't cleaning as much. Not long ago, some stores and restaurants had the smell of cleaning chemicals in the air and people constantly cleaning everything. I also remember Publix having a cart cleaning station at the entrance. At many grocery stores, the carts needed to be dried. I don't see this now. Some businesses have removed the one-way arrows from the floor. I don't think the arrows worked and no one enforced it.

This seems to be the big story in Georgia: https://www.ajc.com/news/atlanta-new...OQVRYTUDZE6W4/

Anecdotally, a good friend of mine traveled to China for work about once a quarter. He was in Wuhan around early December, which is about the time the local officials there started to notice the outbreak.

It is extremely unlikely that the virus followed any kind of sequential, linear path from place to place. It was probably present in most global gateway cities with major international airports by January, and in every major US city before places like Upstate NY.

How are the parents of SSP feeling about this Fall school season?

Are you sending your young kin to la escuela, the schools or are you opting for remote learning aka virtual learning?

Have you called your doctor yet for the Solfoton script in preparation for the Fall school season.

I don't know if I mentioned it here but I had a bout of "elevation sickness" because I had gone to Mammoth mountain to snowboard. Out of every group people some will show symptoms, so other people were feeling other physical things at the time. The only thing is I don't really know how I could have been exposed before that because I live in a rural area.

I know what you're referring to, but in my vocabulary "Top of the Rock" will always be the Kadena (Okinawa) Air Force Base Officers' Club, seen here upper left on top of the hill--fantastic place in the good old days:

My 34yr old cousin got covid from her husband (who wasn't wearing a mask at work) . She was 26wks pregnant with her soon to be 4th child and had a miscarriage because of covid. It's not a fun virus.
