Anyone know what is going on with the property at the NE corner of 2nd and Roosevelt. Was a "green space" and has a fence around it now, with messaging reading IYKYK. I don't think I know lol.

I believe you are referring to the lot where the Federales taco place was going to go. It (the development) pretty much got destroyed by the locals that felt it was going to turn out to be another Golden Margarita.

I am not sure what the status is and if the original company is moving forward it or if something else is planned.

Got it, didn't think the banner would still be up for that, couldn't find any mention of the name but didn't get a picture to see if there was any link to a website or developer.

Unfortunately, it’s just an advertisement for something unrelated. I think it’s a music artist or concert. :(

/\Thanks for the pics. What's the second to last one again? Is it that triangular window one?

Yep, Rainbow Road. Thanks for the pics, thespiandave. Gosh, this city is so primed for some 400-500'ers. Hopefully, in the next round of proposals, we really start to see some taller stuff getting thrown around. Starting the next construction cycle with Astra sure would be nice ;)

That picture of Central station on Van Buren is so cool! I wish most of the new buildings would have that look , hate those beige looking buildings like that one going up on Portland and 2nd!

Awesome photos, this round of projects is making a huge impact.

Did X Roosevelt actually change color? The north side of the facade should be a lot darker.

Has anyone heard about the Davis Experience? A renovation of the Chase Tower? Here is a link to the article with a few renderings of the proposal. I wonder if this is actually in the works.

Just a proposal, I believe. Been around for over a year. As of right now I believe they are just slowly remediating the building, no plans for redevelopment.

The renderings do look nice though. Would be great to see our tallest building get revamped with some mixed-use development.

The Davis Experience has done a lot of high profile projects and proposals around the Valley over the years...where have you been living under a rock or something??

Welcome to the club, we’re all waiting for something to happen with Chase Tower…. Give it 5-7 years and we’ll maybe see some action.

I’ve come to expect little but in recent years we have seen more projects go forward than not. Astra and Chase tend to be the bigger dreams for a lot of us on this forum.

Would anyone have any info on what happened to Thunderbird Legacy aka the Blue? Any of their previous permits have expired and I have not seen or heard anything. The website also seems to have issues loading some images and some of the links are broken.

Seems like after landing a major hotel chain, this would have moved fairly fast. Unless maybe Fairmont pulled out?

Edit: Ok, after I posted this, the images and broken links started working. Must've just been a slow webpage loading issue. But I'm still wondering what's going on with the development.

Good Morning,

I was wondering, what happened to the Fairmont Hotel? The PR release stated a 2025 opening (obviously not happening), is this project still moving forward?

We met with brokers for the ownership group a while ago. The residences they were banking on do not pencil at this time. They will probably have to wait on the hotel portion as well.

Well this sucks. This is one of those projects that can really get development going south of Jackson but always forget about this project. Hopefully, the proposed tower and rehab of the county building at Central/Madison is still a go.

Appreciate the update Dayman!

Did I miss this? What tower is this?

Edit: Oh wait, I think you are referring to this one: https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/1-W-...x-AZ/29522580/
