Good pictures of L.A., although I still think one gets the most vivid impression of the scope of it all at night.

Man, Minneapolis can just not ever look bad. I love it. It's pretty flat there, and that big skyline sure is impressive rising up.

stunned by how beautiful Minneapolis is.....

All the oil industry stuff is neat. http://www.mystic-view.com/assets/img/aerial/ARE2.jpg mystic-view.com Incidentally, is the above aerial taken from the Williams Tower or from a helicopter? It looks much higher up than the 8 or 900 feet that that building is, but the location looks right from what I recall. I can't tell. |
That highway in Houston is massive. One of the things I like about Texas are the highways. Just driving paradise.
With Minneapolis, some of those tree lined neighborhoods look delightful. I like the grid-nature of it as opposed to the more spaghetti like roadways that we see in certain places with similar neighborhoods. |
This is a really nice shot of Paris.

When I first saw that Minneapolis photo, I initially thought it was Houston as I glanced at it. If the Houston photo had incorporated the large expanse of neighborhoods to the right of that freeway, the comparison would have been pretty amazing (e.g., the tree-lined streets of West University, Southhampton, Southside Place, Braeswood Place, etc.). I'll see if I can find a view of what I'm talking about. |
Here's a good one of SF

Toronto and Montreal, but no other American cities. ...
