Thanks Klippenstein and twister244 on the 171 Aberdeen confirmation. I'll have to check Industrious out. You learn something new about Fulton Market every day ;)

Core work seems to have sped up now that it has narrowed. Also some more glass up at the bottom all the way to the elevator shafts.

Tall enough now that on the Metra ride in this morning I asked, what is that?
Very prominent now. Impressive out a Green Line train window.

You have to admit there's really going to be no specticle like this on Earth once Salesforce is done. What an expansion of the Chicago River canyon. The transformation even since I moved here 15 years ago is astounding. Never even considered the possibility of something like the River Walk happening and this scene of public life that it has generated. Talk about a success story.

Completely agree as much as we pick things apart on this forum. The river canyon's is one of the most impressive urban city spectacles on Earth IMO.

I noticed the big Wendella architecture cruise departing between Wells and Lasalle from the first time as well. I hadn't seen the architecture cruises departing from the South side of the river (that far West) until recently. Much more convenient than trying to find that weird loading area over by Wrigley/Trump towers. Makes the river walk feel even more 'happening' and a bit exciting over there.

I'm excited for Goose Island to get developed on the river soon. There still SO much riverfront land to be developed. If Chicago can incorporate a 'seafaring' identity into it's image and make people think 'boats' when they think of Chicago, then future could be very bright.

From Milwaukee and Grand. I believe the core form is at ~ 51st floor - so 9 more. It's approximately level with the roof of WPE at 668 ft - another 145 ft to go then. Which eyeballing would put the roof I think just short of the top of the crane in this shot. So it will definitely have presence.
