I actually think in person the crown looks great. The lighting makes it.

BonoboZill4 Sep 16, 2018 7:29 PM

I agree, the lighting is nice. This a building that looks much better in person and from the ground level.

Nice, it will be even nicer when some kind of tower fills this gap between the Tribune Tower and Fairbanks

BonoboZill4 Sep 23, 2018 4:17 PM

Well I'll be damned... that's is a sleek looking tower from that angle.

It still looks like something that would better fit in as the tallest building in some midsize Sunbelt city.

That's what i always think when I see it, except not just the Austonian, but really what I think of when I think of any building in that city at all that has been built in the last 5 years

10023 Sep 23, 2018 9:18 PM

It would work great as the new tallest building in Raleigh.

Donnie77 Sep 25, 2018 10:58 PM

People tend to shit all over this building but thereĀ“s no denying her beauty at nite!

The tower's design definitely has it's positives and drawbacks, but that base might be the best executed from this cycle(in my humble opinion).

nvm

RedCorsair87 Oct 5, 2018 8:05 PM

Agreed! This is what Halsted's tower should have done--Seamlessly blend into its podium
