Oxblue webcams sometimes turn off randomly, give it few more days it might come back up.

Thanks for the update. It seems a bit more blurry when you zoom in than it used to be. But beggars cant be choosers I suppose. Now lets just get a webcam on WPE and all is well.

On this webcam what is the crane in the background going to? I always thought it was northwestern but I thought that crane came down already?

One of the tower cranes came down in November. That other should come down soon.

I sure its old news but I just noticed it at the very bottom of the webcam. Looks like they went with glass paneling for the balcony guardrails. Blends in nicely with the rest of the exterior. I kind of wish Aqua would have done the same but I guess it might have taken away from the curvature of the rest of building. When are they going to start installing the the 465 crown? How much more do they have to pour for that weight destributer water tank thing they are installing on the roof?

wow. cool shots

Does a damper usually take this long to build? I'm getting impatient to see what type of material they are going to use for the crown.

Damper is complete, and hvac looks to have been placed, steel for crown should start to go up any day now. And the crane will come down soon after that.

Just started the glass on the 46th so two more to go after that before they start the crown. That's assuming they have to finish the top floor glass wall before they can start installing the crown's panels. I believe thats what they did with OMP but I could be wrong.
I was looking at old renders of OMPW and I really hope they re-use that spiral glass crown design, that they ended up ditching, on another building in chicago. It was so classy and unique for this city. Especially if lit up well, it would dominate like 311 wacker.

maru2501 Feb 16, 2018 4:31 PM

maybe they will pull a 55 E. Erie and just not finish it and leave the hvac visible

worst rendering bait-and-switch of the modern era
