Love the Charlotte and Philadelphia pictures! Charlotte seems to be underrepresented when discussing skylines.
Here is a pic I took of Vancouver a few years ago from a seldom seen angle: http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2560/3...936723f2_b.jpg http://www.flickr.com/photos/3063463...7625225241218/ Cheers |

Unlike most Chicago skyline pictures which just show downtown, this one actually shows the long line (skyline) of buildings along the lake.

Damn that Montreal shot is bangin! Best shot and angle I can remember seeing of it, I actually didn't know what city that was at first. Very impressive and they are undergoing a condo boom right now so it should get even better.
Loving the lowrise chunkiness of STL :haha: I might have to try that out as a pickup line "hey sugar, I dig your lowrise chunkiness" :drooling: |
I'll go with this fairly quintessential shot of Calgary - population 1.2 million. No Calgary Tower, but a bit of the Calatrava bridge popping out. I had a hard time deciding between this an another recent one from the south with a crazy lightning strike. Nudge, nudge to my fellow Calgary forumers. ;)

Any idea as to the Magellan tower slated for the Loring Park area of downtown? |

That Minneapolis shot is extremely impressive looks very similar in size, height, lowrise chunkiness to LA actually.
Toronto, good lord we are really starting to see how that boom is playing out. |

Denver! (by me)

Little bit of downtown Portland with my favorite mountain in the background.

This is fantastic, and to think that it only shows half the skyline - everything North of College St. to Bloor/Yorkville is missing.

Chattanooga
http://www.backvalleyfarm.com/images/chattanooga.jpg Source:http://www.backvalleyfarm.com I tried to find one that properly incorporated the mountains with downtown. They practically surround the city. |
Chattanooga has such a beautiful setting. Would love to visit sometime.

Good thread. It's always nice to see a new round of skyline pics. Whoo!

I took this picture as I was flying in to Haneda.
http://www.vgfun.net/lee/misc_images/tokyoairplane.jpg Note the mysterious garbage island in the foreground, the only place in the whole of Japan I know of that has no actual address of any kind (or at least no address that is available to the public). |
Tokyo is like NYC on crack.
