Marble installation is getting underway along with the glass fins for the lobby. Spanning between the fins will be single 10'x40' laminated glass sheets.

Is this leftover marble from the lobby of 110 Wacker? Looks exactly the same. :P

They are definitely related lobby designs. Though 110 has vertical extruded accordion walls with a lit reveal at the outer fold, where as this wall will start out straight and flat at the bottom and fold into the accordion pattern by the time it reaches the ceiling. Also maybe not as obvious yet since it's not lit but 110 is gray marble and this is white.

I know it's been mentioned before but it is interesting the BMO is apparently not concerned that their building is an obvious cousin to Bank of America's. But IMO, BMO also got the more interesting, and next level of refined building, and that goes for the lobby design as well.

Appreciate your detailed insight. Somewhat joking about the marble - but yeah I expect the lobby to turn out very similar looking to 110. Though I'm excited to see how the balconies/landings on the setbacks turn out on both of these buildings and am looking forward to some pictures in due course.

Anyone notice the white banner near the roof today? Can anyone read it?

I don't know if its just the angle, but that is some crazy reflective glass!

Good to be back! I've been shooting a good deal of client work, but haven't gotten a 'haul' of U/C projects from air in quite a while.

The angle certainly makes a difference. When looking down on a building from above, you see everything on the ground reflected back at you instead of a relatively flat/deep blue sky. With all that detail on the ground, and some areas of sun highlight hitting buildings to the west, it makes for a really 'hectic' mix of reflections.
