Oh wow, GREAT shots!

That glass is looking great!

I remember when it was only 813 feet and I was worried it wouldn't poke out above the plataue around it then it was raised to 850 feet and it actually pokes out way better than I thought it would.

I don't like the building design, but I like the presence:

At first I thought it was monotonous, but now I'm really digging the all blue confluence. It would feel claustrophobic if all those buildings were dark grey like AMA or sears.

It's like there was an architecture competition for 750-850ft blue glass office towers on a rectangular plot and then they built the top 5.

Bruh...nighttime lighting would really complete this building. Something like the Reunion tower in Dallas. It's literally in the perfect spot for light shows.

If I recall, there is supposed to be some crown lighting on this beast.... I think. I hope so. I'm a sucker for crown lighting, which is why I love 2 Pru and 311 S. Wacker at night.

The top seems like a pretty large height worth of lighting, more so than the nearby Riverside, River Point, and 110 Wacker buildings. I'm looking forward to colored lighting on the crown especially. (assuming they participate in the city's seasonal lighting program which would be hard to imagine they would not)

I'm most excited for how the base and lobby will look illuminated at light, especially with some of the wood tones. I have a hard time imagining it but think it could be very stunning. For me, the lobby and base are the strengths of this building's design.

^It looks great, but damn imagine if it had lighting in the way the BOA building in Dallas did. It would absolutely light up our riverwalk.

I'm interested in what the has been shown on the east lobby wall. I'm not sure they are video screens or back illuminated photos (which would be a little lame).

I suspect it's those back-lit glass portraits.... They are not TV screens, but glass portraits that are lit from behind. Sexy lobby though still!

No, they will be animated. This is a Salesforce thing, Marc Benioff loves that Blade Runner feeling and the whole crown of the SF tower plays animations. The SF tower also has an animated wall in the lobby similar to the Chicago renderings.

^ very cool. I especially liked the waterfall effect.
The tower is turning out better than expected (by me, at least) and if they follow their landscaping plans and with interior features such as this wall, it will go far in overcoming the blue-box curse.

Yeah in the video there is even a scene that is similar to the one rendered in the stills of the Chicago lobby so I think it's super likely.

Outstanding shots. This is imo the most important of the last several towers to get built - the gap in the middle of WP would have ended up way worse than Waterview's incompletion. With the crown fully lit its also going to look plenty tall.

Well... Happy to say I was wrong in my assumption! Thanks for sharing that video. This makes me optimistic of some cool crown lighting with this building too.

Everyone's got their own taste I suppose. I think calling it a blue rectangle is a huge oversimplification. I'lll give you my reasons I think it's a quality building and you can feel free to rebut them and tell me what you would have done differently. The glass seems of good quality to me, the north and south facades are horizontally stepped to maximize corner offices and is in contrast to the sheer east and west surfaces. While not done, every indication is that it will meet the river very well with a large and dynamic lobby. There's no visible parking podium and the mechanical floors are very well blended into the building, much more so than other seemingly less mediocre buildings like Vista. It's hight is noteworthy, (imagine if we had another 500 ft building here, ZzZzZ) and in comparison to the other buildings around it, the variation in height is a pleasant thing to behold. I believe traveling north along the south branch of the river this will be a very satisfying capstone to the confluence. Anyway, that's my take on it, I'm genuinely interested in your counter argument.
