This is apartment style upper class men housing, meaning much more sqft per bed, apartment style amenities aka gym and pool, parking etc. Could end up being surprisingly large |
Demo permits issued for the structures on the north side of the 300 block of Portland St (here). Don't know if I remember knowing what if any plans there are for that area. Anyone know?

Just a quick recap, muertecaza is referring to this plan review for ease of not having to search for it: http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/show...&postcount=888
Edit: Welp, NM. Went back to check on that plan review and it is now voided. Back to the guessing board. |
So I heard through KJZZ that Rose and Crown is leaving Heritage Square and looking for a new location downtown. At least, they’re staying downtown or whatever vaguely determinesd boundaries of downtown people come up with.

Someone on another thread mentioned that one of the Optima towers was voted down? I thought they reached consensus with the neighboring development?? Or did they simply reject the taller of the two proposals??

I believe there was a 196' proposal that had been previously eliminated as well, it was shown for comparison during the presentation. It sounds like most of the developers in the area were supporting the 120' proposal except the neighboring Optima. They brought about 30 people in with red 'Stop Irresponsible Development in Kierland' t-shirts who ostensibly live in the neighborhood to the South. https://i.imgur.com/N0tOlCB.jpg |

When are we getting a downtown optima!??!? |

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. They just don't want another building blocking their views I bet. They don't care that the building they currently live in already blocks neighboring views. |
