My guess is that its Cinco De Mayo. We can see the Mexican Mariachi Band and all of the on-stage civic hoopla near the City Hall. Looks like a nice warm May day. Any other ideas?

I spy the old temporary court buildings which were dreadful.

Hey ER. From the crowds near the upper and lower Stations of Angels Flight, could this day have been the last weekend of service?

I rode this once. Not really my idea of fun. It just seems too dangerous to me. Great photos though.!!

During his visit, he was honored at a special Cinco de Mayo ceremony held at Los Angeles City Hall. Some other prominent guests at the event included: Mayor Fletcher Bowron, Mexican Consul General Col. Vicente Peralta, and Bishop Joseph T. McGucken.
