Still a really nice project, but that stinks that the tallest building is shrinking.

Previous version.
The other previously shorter building is not out in the water anymore. That was cool, now it is not as cool. Not loving these changes. http://cdn.phillymag.com/wp-content/...ts-937x625.jpg |
As long as something actually gets built there I'm happy. I figured the first renderings were a pipe dream
|
Too much parking , there needs to be more housing and commercial space...
|
Damn, of course it was scaled down.
|
Forget the height decrease for a moment, I still prefer the first design. But like Larry King said, if the changes allow this to get built, that will be amazing for Camden City, and Camden County.
Go Camden!! |
I don't hate it. Still two tall glass buildings on Camden's Waterfront that will most likely be 100% leased by completion given Liberty's history, but what a tease seeing those initial renderings.

Based on the updated plan, there is a pier park on the pier where the curvy skyscraper was moved from . That is actually a very good use.

They have been taking tons of soil samples so my guess is that the design changes are based on the results of those tests.
The DN had another piece on this development this morning. http://www.philly.com/philly/news/ne...and_shops.html |
I wonder what happens first- this or Drexel's innovation neighborhood. They both sound good, but I'm skeptical until we see some buildings going up. At least camden has the benefit of huge incentives from NJ.

The NEW design concept . Am I looking at a 8/10 story building that resembles a
shipping crate , that will replace a 590' tower ?? Wow , what a kick in the nuts ....... :yuck: |
