Thats going to look so sick from that view, Adler, if 1000M gets going with Essex and OGP.

The scaffold is completely out of the large winter garden space. It looks massive! Also some of the metal panels have been stripped of the protective cover. The color is silver and looks good with the green glass. You can see it better on the back side of the building right now. This thing is going to be a stunner!

Awesome pics, BVic! Thanks for braving the craptastic weather to get them!

Damn, Essex and 1000M really add some bulk to the skyline. There is a noticeable height gap between Roosevelt and Congress when viewing from the east. These two definitely help to address that.

The winter garden at Essex on the Park by YoChicago, on Flickr When it's completed, this is likely to be the most dramatic indoor amenity space in a residential building in Chicago. The eastern part of the space will have an indoor pool and panoramic views over Grant Park. Nano walls will seasonally open the north and side ends of the space to the outdoors |

That view blows my mind why more peolpe aren't trying to redevelop those mich ave buildings into luxury highrises like legacy. Oh, except for alderman, nimbys, costs, tax and....ect. C'mon 1000m, i hope you pull through.

But I like it the way it is. Lots of historic buildings, very Chicago. Gritty and urban. You can’t replicate that in Dallas or Atlanta |
