This one looks probably 500-525 feet to me.

Exciting! All of these new developments in just a few days. I hope this happens, but I remember River City too..? Remember that pie in the sky idea?
This looks decent. It will certainly give life to an area that definitely is dead after dark. Does this project have all of its ducks in a row? ie. Financing, City Council appoval, etc.? I'd like to see something happen at that end of center city. I really would. But I thought Murano was having difficulty getting it filled? (At least in the beginning.) Maybe this will be the shot in the arm, along with the new Comcast Building, FMC, etc. ~ the city's hot right now:hell:! Developers are going to take advantage of Comcast, FMC,etc. now, and that's a good thing. |
The Logan Square neighborhood association is going to shit a lot of bricks over this.
The shadows!!! |

Last I heard, Murano was full. Most condo buildings in Philly are as of now, which is why there have been several new proposals for condo buildings in the past few months. Quote:
The developer still has to go through ZBA and Planning Commission. As far as I know, there is no financing for the development yet. |
Gorgeous!

This would be a game changer for CC West. SO much more foot traffic on Market with this thing sitting on JFK. That said, I hope they change the facade of the smaller towers. Looks very 60's to me.

After checking the developer's website, it appears to me that this particular project is their "feather in the cap". Let's hope that they can pull it all together, and get this off the ground. (Since this is the biggest project in their portfolio.) With NP International having corporate headquarters in Minnesota, and Costa Rica, they may want to consider setting up corporate offices in Philly, as well. It would benefit them to have their people here, since this is going to be a very ambitious project for them. (Philadelphia will certainly have the room for them to set up their offices in one of the towers they're developing!) Let's hope that this is the beginning of a truly valuable friendship! |

Looking at this more I'm confused how they are going to get the foot traffic over there with the SEPTA tracks cutting right through. Would be awesome to get some connection over that and maybe one over the CSX line to the trail too.

A simple enhancement or build of that pathway or steps will connect it. |
How serious are they about building this? Or is it too early to say?

This project is being presented by NP International to the LSNA on Tuesday, May 13th. They will need zoning variances from the city, and they are requesting a letter on non-opposition from LSNA. There is one new rendering from the NP International site. Hopefully we will know more soon.

Love the new rendering. It looks truly f**king fantastic! The only issue I have with the project is the way the JFK tower fronts JFK. Wish they could build a base for the tower that goes the entire way from 23rd to the train tracks, not a narrow base with grass around it.

Anyone know the developer? Is this is a legitimate development? The developer's website lacks anything remotely to this scale and most of their "selected" work is of the low to mid-rise variety. They certainly do not appear to be a power player with the track record to pull off something of this massive scope...
A little nervous that this, as that absurd River City proposal, is more bait and flip than shovels in the ground. Anyone know more? |
