I'll have to check it out. Having a restaurant that is accessible to a majority of people is certainly within the mandate of the park. People can come enjoy a meal and take a stroll around the lake. I actually wish there were more food and beverage options in the park.

In the Wascana Masterplan there shows another addition possibility to the Willow building. Maybe another restaurant could work attached?

I know it's a hot button and I'll probably get blasted for mentioning it but I'm happy that the Conexus building will have publicly accessible washrooms and a cafe, even if it is off the main walking loop.

Cora's has a new location on Prince of Wales on the ground floor of the medical building across PoW from Walmart.

Atlantis is closing this Sunday, will re-open in April as Brewed Awakening. Owners sold.

Well, it has finally been confirmed that Olive Garden is coming later this year to both Regina and Saskatoon. The Regina location in Harbour Landing will open on October 28th with shovels in the ground this week. Saskatoon's will be located in Preston Crossing and will open around December 6th.

Starbucks coffee is terrible. I can't believe they intentionally over-roast their beans.

I don't hate starbucks, it works in a pinch, but there are far better options out there. They really do over roast everything, there is no subtlety, and it is impossible to get fresh beans from them. And I am a coffee snob who likes strong coffee.

Our local roasters at Caliber, 33 1/3, and Green Spot have been banging out quality beans for years now.

They must incredible marketers to be able to sell over US$25B a year of expensive coffee that tastes terrible?

Does that mean Tim Horton's is good as well based on their sales? Just asking because I have no problem drinking a cup of Timmy's but I as well find Starbucks to taste burnt although I do like their mochas.

What happened to Houston Pizza on 1100 block Albert Street? It was looking really shutdown on Saturday, May 11.

A new Houston Pizza is opening soon at Carling Place, next door to Subway. (Same strip mall as Urban Planet and Press Box). It appears that they are just relocating to a new location two blocks away from the old location.

Tim's is clearly good enough, for most people.

Not a huge shock, considering that most people have moved from buying music on CDs (uncompressed digital audio) to MP3s and streaming (highly-compressed lossy audio), e.g. Convenience tends to trump quality for most people.
