I love how the buildings match the majority of washrooms in the rest of the park. I'm guessing they are designed like that to not take away from the beauty of the trees.

The new Wascana Park aquapark looks impressive. I hope the final product looks that good! Maple Leaf pool is spartan in comparison, but really, it will serve the area well.
I am glad to see the City of Regina is preparing for Global Warming, and the long, hot summers we will have in the future :uhh: |

Wascana Pool looks amazing. I know there will be people who say stuff like "indoor pools make more sense" but I have some great memories as a kid going to the Regent Pool in the summer and having a blast. We have dry, hot summers (getting hotter and drier by the year, but I digress) and this is a great way to spend some of those days. I can see myself taking my kid there multiple times a summer while making it a part of a "day-at-the-park."

Anyone know who designed the pool and who is building it? Looked for that info online but didn't find it.
|
PCL is building. Not sure who designed it.

Thanks for the correction. Must have heard the first P when I was half-listening to something and just assumed.

Jeannie Mah is packing up her home in Regina's Cathedral area. The artist had moved back to her hometown of Regina decades ago to be in the Crescents and swim daily in Wascana Pool, but after seeing the new pool's concept she's moving away. Bye Bye |
