After a quick Google, it looks like "The Light Running Domestic" was a sewing machine. There doesn't seem to be any connection with Los Angeles, but you can read about the company's history here.

Here is the "hideout" house from which a group of mystery men assertively spied on Raymond's home from last September until three days after the bombing. Neighbors identified Kynette and some of his officers as the men who occupied the house. From the window indicated by an arrow a clear view of the Raymond home could be had. Photo date: January 20, 1938.

It looks to me like the building on the corner of Santa Monica Blvd. and Doheny.

Update: GW has identified this location as Santa Monica Blvd. and San Vicente. Val's Coffee Shop is on the NE corner of SMB.

It's part of the original two-tier parking structure at the Parker Center. There's no date with the picture, but I'd guess at mid-50s - there was an extra building on the single-story portion of the parking lot (nearest the camera) by 1962.

That hilltop Victorian at the NE corner of 1st & Figueroa always intrigued me (upper right of the first pic, upper center of the first). I always thought it fronted onto Flower, which was why it seems hidden by the other houses, but the aerial clearly shows that my perception of the distance between Flower & Figueroa was way off. I also always thought it was one main floor, but the aerial shows it was a two-story house. Anybody have any other info/closer photos of the house? I've got another version of the first photo in the quote with an interesting annotation in the upper right corner, reading "Korean Society Site (Chang Ho House)". Wonder if it can provide any clues for anyone who might know:

Sorry guys, sometimes I forget that good old Google can do the trick. Lol. Apparently the house was the home of Dosan Ahn Chang Ho and family, "an activist and prominent leader of the Korean resistance movements (1905-1945) as well as a leader in the Korean-American community. Numerous memorials have been built in his honor, including statues in Dosan Memorial Park in Seoul and Riverside, California. In Los Angeles, there is Dosan Ahn Chang Ho Post Office in Koreatown and Dosan Ahn Chang Ho Square, at the intersection of Jefferson Boulevard and Van Buren Place." -LAPL
