Brightline began 2017 with a major construction milestone at MiamiCentral, installing its first five signature V Columns along the East elevation. Constructed of steel and to be encased by precast concrete, these five V Columns are the first of 29 that will be installed, each reaching a staggering 70 feet tall. The steel for each one weighs 8,000 pounds.

The "V" Columns provide a defining architectural element to all three of Brightline’s South Florida stations, which have been designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM), one of the largest and most influential architecture, interior design, engineering, and urban planning firms in the world.

At MiamiCentral, the Brightline train platform will be elevated to align with existing public transportation systems (Tri-Rail,MetroRail and Metromover.)
This bold and innovative design allows thru-streets to remain open to traffic and creates an atmosphere of walkability as well as a landmark terminal.

Looks promising. Is it necessary to have two engines for four passenger cars to attain high speed? Can they carry more trailers when ridership warrants such modification?

Only the initial trains from West Palm Beach to Miami will have 4 cars, these trains will be expanded to 7 cars when the service is extended to Orlando. Initially, they will build just 5 train sets, and another 5 (or 10 total) train sets will be needed for full expanded services to Orlando. All this information can be read at Wiki.
Having locomotives on each end of the train places cabs on each end, eliminating the need to turn the trains with either wyes or balloon loops. Two locomotives per train also means faster acceleration to top speed.
