Settings & Locations for NYC Photography

Hello!

I hope this is ok to post, so apologies to the staff if this isn't! In a week, I'll be leaving to see family and friends up north, including a few days in NYC! As one who usually shoots portraits and club photos here in DFW, I've been wanting to capture shots ever since I was last out there in 2015!

Anyways, I was curious what notable spots within the city that some of you have shot at, or must-see areas that showcase Manhattan in a different view! Over the years, I've loved and appreciated all the wonderful photos you've all shared, so I hope to add a few to some of the forums in the coming weeks!

While I'm aware I should be shooting with a large depth of field to really capture buildings, any tips or tricks to really highlight the city would be much appreciated! I'm also down to meeting any of you all as I don't know anyone in person who appreciates skyscrapers like all of you! Thank you!

Sunset Park Brooklyn or Weehawken NJ for panoramic views of the skyline. And try to get up to the Edge in Hudson Yards if you can.

I second the Weehawken spot. Incredible panorama, can see pretty much all of Manhattan.
