Wow. That first photo is insane. Looks over 800ft tall there.

Thanks for sharing.

Love this one. Great composition of old and new Chicago. Some storied establishments there!

^^ Isn't that the bar (Emmits) windows they filmed the Oceans Eleven scene with Matt Damons character meeting Clooney at a table inside? A Tribune truck drove by in that scene about the same time of year. :haha:

Yes, it is!

Same. K Station does its best to ruin the shot though.

There are MUCH worse concrete econoboxes than K Station. They actually have texture and detail...

More importantly, Richards is pictured. Be still my heart!

Fantastic shot by the way.

+ Urlacher in the photo :haha:

WPS will be ~130 ft taller than WPE so about 13-14 floors or 4 'blocks' of WPE floors taller than WPE in this photo to get a mental picture. I don't think it should obfuscate WPE from this angle as WPS is entirely south of WPE. It should be an impressive site even at 813 ft.

KWillChicago Nov 23, 2019 6:28 AM

WPS is going to look so sick from that Emmits shot. With those angled streets in the foreground and wps positioned north/south and wpe east/west its going to look massive. Very gothamish.

We need that Thompson Center supertall behind it too!

^ great shot, nick!

i love how marvelously WPE blocks out the apparel center, which is finally becoming the anonymous, forgettable background building it was always supposed to be.

Wow. What's happening in this first shot that's making the tower look so green? I'm not complaining, it's actually really cool. You see something in the same spectrum of blue for so long that when it's a completely different color it looks very striking.

It's like a chameleon tower trying to mimic Essex.
