According to a link that was posted on the WAM Development Group’s website Monday, the design of the building’s facade will incorporate the use of braille letters and numbers to advertise the project’s main office tenant — the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. Reached Monday evening, CNIB Alberta spokesman Jung-Suk Ryu said the organization is in discussions with the developer, but that no deal has been reached. Shortly after, the link to the project on the developer’s website was taken down.[...] Ryu said discussions with CNIB’s discussions with the developer have included components of what the building might look like, but many elements still must be addressed. Proposed rezoning in Oliver for new apartment building
Residents are invited to a public meeting to provide feedback on the proposed rezoning of a property at 12010 Jasper Avenue NW in the Oliver neighbourhood. Date: Thursday, December 03, 2015 Time: 7 p.m. Location: Oliver School, 10227 118 Street NW The proposed rezoning from a (DC1) Direct Development Control Provision to a (DC2) Site Specific Control Provision would allow for the development of a 114-metre (approx 35 storeys) apartment building with a maximum of 390 units and underground parking. The proposed rezoning would also require updating applicable maps in the Oliver Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP). The public meeting will be an opportunity to learn more about the proposal and provide feedback, which will be summarized in a report to city council for a final decision on the rezoning. |
