Best Portland thread we've been graced with in 20+ years. And only one pic of a lobster roll!
Old Port is a national treasure. It's in the same discussion as the North End. |
Great walkthrough! I go to that city regularly but couldn't show it as well as this! Depending on my last visit, it's always between Portland and Providence for my 2nd favorite New England city behind Boston.

Looks like a lot of pleasant walking areas!
All these pictures of Maine and not a single shapeshifting clown, red balloon, demonic shopkeeper, vampire, or eldritch horror to be seen. Appalling, sir! Just appalling.
Love it! I've been wanting to visit for quite some time and these photos just make me want to visit even more!
Awesome post. You have captured that urban vibe.

Quite charming and absolutely beautiful. Looks like a great place to live.
Very beautiful.
It's like a baby Boston. |
Great photos! We visited Portland and Peaks in September 2018 before our son was born. Portland is a very scenic and walkable city that reminds me of a larger Burlington, Vermont.

One of my favorite cities in America. Thank you!
Great thread, great time of year. I need to get back there...
amazing photos!
It's on my bucket list |
Didn't mean to start something, but I prefer the other Portland....no i'm kidding, I like this one the best, historically and stylistically
Great tour! It looks like one of those cities you could spend a week in and still not be able to get to all the cool spots.
This city is a lot more than I expected. Would love to visit.
Beautiful!
Thank you for the photos! Great stuff.
