You have to admit there's really going to be no specticle like this on Earth once Salesforce is done. What an expansion of the Chicago River canyon. The transformation even since I moved here 15 years ago is astounding. Never even considered the possibility of something like the River Walk happening and this scene of public life that it has generated. Talk about a success story.

Completely agree as much as we pick things apart on this forum. The river canyon's is one of the most impressive urban city spectacles on Earth IMO.
I noticed the big Wendella architecture cruise departing between Wells and Lasalle from the first time as well. I hadn't seen the architecture cruises departing from the South side of the river (that far West) until recently. Much more convenient than trying to find that weird loading area over by Wrigley/Trump towers. Makes the river walk feel even more 'happening' and a bit exciting over there.
I'm excited for Goose Island to get developed on the river soon. There still SO much riverfront land to be developed. If Chicago can incorporate a 'seafaring' identity into it's image and make people think 'boats' when they think of Chicago, then future could be very bright.
