Brightline said seven trucks delivered a total of 150 tons of structural steel beams over a two-day period. The beams will serve as the main structural element at the MiamiCentral station. http://www.mypalmbeachpost.com/news/...ivery-f/nrmRz/ |
Perfect!!! We will check it out by tomorrow. We're in South Florida. We flew on Delta. We just came in yesterday early evening and we are going back home on Friday.

The Orlando intermodal terminal at OIA is enormous -- this must be one of the largest train terminals under construction in the country.
I also find it amazing that with Brightline, a total of 4 train stations are under construction at the same time in the state of Florida (Miami, Ft Laud, West Palm, Orlando). For a state that has prioritized highway construction over mass transit for decades, this is a big deal. |

I'm not suggesting any of those things.

Also Sunrail's Phase 3 will connect the Commuter rail line from Sand Lake Rd. to OIA in a couple of years. Orlando needs some type of LRT also to make both end points functional. This is a win-win situation for both metros. |

Great pics Lakelander -- I like the consistency in station design for the Miami, Ft Laud, and WPB stations.
|
Lakelander cool pics and thanks for the update. Does the first pic of the Miami Central station look like it's actually 5 stories above ground?
Also any evidence of the Tri-Rail platforms being built yet? |
Wow! Thank you so much for sharing the pics. It's coming along nicely. Keep it up!
